National Resilience in the Face of Covid-19

The 2020 edition took place online, moving away from the cyber theme in the narrow sense to also range over current issues, trying to understand how they have affected our habits and reactions.

It was divided into several parts: a first part was organized on May 12, 2020 with the theme “National Resilience in the Face of Covid-19,” which was followed by 6 weekly WebRoundTables until June 30, 2020 on “National Resilience” addressed from different aspects. This one was devoted to the National Restart in several areas such as: the role of Intelligence in the national emergency, disinformation and social unrest, post-Covid Public Administration, the health care system in pandemic crises, reactivation of the economic system, industrial revitalization, conclusions and summary of the proceedings.

While a second part was organized in December of the same year (Dec. 15, 2020) and the theme, again focusing on the current condition of the country, was “Covid and cyber security: from pandemic emergency response to structural change.” In the latter, issues that had to do with the pandemic and the cybersecurity response to it came to the surface.

These meetings were attended not only by government members and military authorities, but also by diplomats, prefects, university professors and industrial leaders.

Organized by Eucacs (European Center for Advanced Cyber Security) and InTheCyber Group, it was sponsored by the Interdepartmental Center for Strategic, International and Entrepreneurial Studies (CSSII) of the University of Florence, and UniMoRe’s Cyber Academy.
